My name is Kayla Strohbeck and I am the creator behind honicake studio! I'm a proud mother and Kentucky native. Throughout my life, I’ve found great purpose in uplifting others and nurturing the communities around me. I believe in using the gifts I’ve been given—ones I’ve carefully cultivated over time—to bring creativity, positivity and encouragement wherever I go.
Whether it's through small acts of kindness or bigger efforts, such as uplifting local businesses, I strive to make a meaningful impact. I’m passionate about supporting and connecting with others, and I truly believe in the power of community.
My Story
Honicake isn’t just a brand—it’s the result of years of growth, creativity, and a deep love for community. My journey began in the heart of Meade county, where I learned the true value of connection and community. Growing up, I saw how people came together to support one another, and that sense of unity stuck with me.

As I ventured into college, I pursued a degree in graphic design, diving deep into the world of visual storytelling. My time in school was more than just about learning technical skills—it was where I discovered my passion for using design as a tool for connection. After graduating, I decided to step out on my own, freelancing as a designer and working with clients to build strong, impactful brands. From crafting logos to curating social media strategies, I realized that the power of design goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about telling a story, shaping an identity, and creating something that resonates with people.

Then, life took me on a new adventure—motherhood. Balancing my career and family, I learned the importance of flexibility, patience, and staying true to what matters most. As a mother, I also gained a deeper understanding of what it means to nurture and grow—both in my personal life and within my work.

Currently, I work with the military as a social media manager and marketer, focusing on uplifting their community. This role has shown me how powerful digital platforms can be when used to inspire, support, and unite people for a common purpose. It’s about more than just posts—it’s about building a space where people feel seen, heard, and motivated to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Through it all, one thing has remained constant: my passion for fostering community, connection, and growth. As I continue to grow my brand, honicake, I bring all of these experiences with me—because I believe that as we grow individually and collectively, we have the power to shape the future and make it sweeter for everyone.
